Ms. Mesha Pius Singolyo is the Country Director of Global Fund for Widows Tanzania dedicated to organising widows in Sarabanks and training them on entrepreneurship, leadership, microfinance, and savings to mitigate poverty and dependency. Ms. Mesha Pius Singolyo oversees the operations Global Fund for Widows in Tanzania Programs while championing the economic rights and access to education for girls and young mothers in Arusha Region. Before her role at GFW, she worked at Monduli District Council, she has experience of working with government and non-government organisations holding different positions such as Youth development officer, education officer and coordinator of women empowerment programs. Ms. Mesha Pius Singolyo has also worked with ICSEE and Diane Foundation as women's organiser. She is also the founder of PWDT a non-Profit Organisation which advocates the rights of girls in the region. Ms. Mesha Pius Singolyo holds a bachelor’s degree in Education, Majoring in Political Science and Language Studies, an M.A. in Gender and Development Studies from the University of Dar es Salaam, M.A. in Leadership and Education Management from Arusha University. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Project Management (MPM) at Open University, which is in progress. She speaks Swahili and English.
