Ms. Munshi has over 25 years of experience advising executive management teams, public and private corporate boards and institutional investors on strategy, M&A and corporate finance initiatives across a broad range of real estate sectors. She is the Co-Founder of The CenterCap Group, LLC, a women owned investment bank founded in 2009 to provide M&A and corporate capital advice for the real estate industry. Prior to this, she was Co-Head of M&A and a Senior Managing Director with CB Richard Ellis Investors (now CBRE Investment Management). From 1998-2007, Ms. Munshi was a senior coverage banker in the real estate investment banking groups at Lehman Brothers and Wachovia Securities where she provided mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, restructuring and capital markets transaction advice to public and private real estate companies.
Ms. Munshi currently serves on the advisory board of Sundance Bay, a real estate investment management firm. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute and served as a lead instructor for the Urban Land Institute’s seminar “Private Equity Capital: Understanding and Navigating the Options” from 2010 – 2019. Additionally, as a member of NAREIM (industry association dedicated to the business of investment management) and its Executive Officer, DEI, Membership and Capital Raising and IR Planning Committees, she was active in driving thought leadership and developing best practice solutions, content for peer-led roundtable discussion and ideas for further collaborative engagement across the industry. Ms. Munshi is also a member of PREA (Pension Real Estate Association), as well as a member of WX (New York Women Executives in Real Estate) where she serves on its membership committee. She has been a guest speaker at Columbia Business School and various industry conferences, including for the Urban Land Institute, NAREIM, PERE Americas, iGlobal Forum, Kayo Women Conference Series and UNC Charlotte.
